Trip West - Ala, Miss, La

Well we left Fla Caverns on Fri May 4 and traveled to Prairie Creek Campground near Lowndesboro, Alabama.  This a beautiful campground on R.E. "Bob" Woodruff Lake.
This is a picture of Tom & Linda Hodges camper on their site next to us.

This is our view from the back of our camper site.
The next two pics are views from our camper window.

A view of the lake on Sat morning before we left.

Linda enjoying her morning cup of coffee before we ate breakfast.  It was really enjoyable here. Could have spent two days, and even more if you like to fish.  We left shortly after this and traveled to Twiltley Branch campground near Collinsville, Ms on Okatibbee Lake.  I did post one pics on my FB page of the lake, I forgot to take any pics of the campground.

Traveling on from Twiltley Branch on Sat we stopped on side of the road at an abandoned store for lunch.  The over hang provided shade and there was a cool breeze during our lunch.
The following pics are of our stay at Hixson Ford "campground" in Monroe, La. To make a long and frustrating story short, we stopped for gas in Tallulah, La and the truck would not start.  Called for a tow, the guy that came told me what the problem (shift cable had broken) got the truck started and we drove to Monroe the Ford dealer.  Linda and I camped out in their parking lot Sunday night.  On Monday the problem was verified, but they did not have the part to fix it until the next day.
Linda enjoying the shade Sunday night.  It was very hot in Monroe.

My truck that will not start until they fix the shift cable tomorrow.
So we are spending another night in Monroe, going to the Catfish Cabin across the street for supper and hopefully be on the road again tomorrow about 11am.
This is our view from the camper.  Linda and I can testify to the goodness and greatness of our Lord in a lot of situation in our lives.  This is another example of His watch care over us.  It could have been a lot worse and we are thankful that it wasn't.  The people here at Hixon Ford have been very accommodating.  We are thankful for Debbie (our service rep) and for Robert (courtesy driver) who took us to Wal Mart so we could pick up a few things we needed and brought us back.  Hope you all are enjoying our traveling story, and we will continue later.
