Trip West - Zion Canyon National Park

The following pictures are of Zion Canyon National Park.  We were actually down in the canyon here, always looking up at the sides of the canyon, the colors and shapes.  We all hiked to the Emerald Pools trail.  According to the sign post it is 1.5 miles one way with a total change in elevation of 419 feet.  It was a good trail at times and pretty strenuous at times for us older folk, but we make it up and back.

This is a picture of the Virgin River that flows through Zion Canyon on its way south to Nevada.

I blieve this would be Linda's LQ (Ladies Quarterly) photo.  We had a lot of fun doing this.

Another animal visitor on the trail.

A cactus bloom by the trail.

This is the Upper Emerald pool, not very impressive but worth the hike to see it.
Not sure what Tom was pointing at?

Another deer as we were leaving town back home.
On our way home we decided to stop at Buffalo Trails for Buffalo Burger & Fries.

Apparently Buffalo meat is very good nutritionally.

Buffalo Burgers all around
Not only is it good nutritionally, but it is good eating!!!!!!  Boy we all enjoyed them.  Violet our server told us her dad who is the owner and cook, put his own seasoning on the burgers, lets them sit for 10 minutes before cooking.  Very good.
Ate every bite of the burger and fries.  I hope to have another on the soon.

This is a video that my Linda did at the Upper Emerald Pool.
Having a great time.  Tonight we are in Moab, Utah.  We went to Arches National Park today ( will post pics later). Tomorrow we are rafting on the Colorado River, should be a great time.  See ya'll later.
