Trip West - Willard Bay, Utah

Well it has been a few days since my last post. These pictures are of our campsite at Willard Bay State Park, outside of Salt Lake City, Utah.  We spend three days here.

Tom & Linda have a nephew Marcus who lives in Salt Lake City and he and his son Ethan took us to the Bingham Canyon Copper Mine.  The next few pictures are of our ride out to the mine.

This copper mine is one of the largest if not the largest open mine.  It was a very impressive site standing on the top looking down in the mine and the operation that was taking place.

This one of the tires that they use on the truck  in the picture above.
This is Marcus and his son Ethan.

This is a video that Linda did of the mine which I think gives you a good look at it.
After the trip to the mine we all went to lunch at the Sushi Monster.  Linda and I did not eat sushi, but did find something on the menu that we liked.  After lunch we rode downtown Salt Lake City and around the Mormon Temple Square.  Did not stop, too hot downtown.
