Instead of going to Yellowstone for the day, we decided to go to West Yellowstone, which is just outside the park and look around. On our way out of the campground we saw these two antelope. Have not seen them since, but they were beautiful.
More snow scenes on our way to West Yellowstone, Montana. About 14 miles from the campground which is in Idaho.
After we got back to camp Linda and I were sitting in the camper when this little bird flew into the window and about knocked itself out. With some tender love from 'mom' Linda it got down, hopped around for a while and then flew off.
Later in the afternoon, I went for a walk and ended up hiking around the park on a 3mile trail. I first came across this moose cow and her calf. The calf is laying down in the brush, could not get it picture.
One of the critters that I encountered on my hike.
The wild flowers were blooming even after the snow on the ground that morning.
This was the view I had coming out of the forest.
I saw an elk, but it was too fast for me, could not get close enough for a picture. Did see this mule deer.
The birds were flying all over the place, was able to get this one.
A picture of the mountain range near us.
This little fellow was outside the window of the camper.
Later that evening we all went to check on the moose cow and her calf and they both were up and looking us over good. Eventually the cow laid down and then the calf do to. Looked like they were in for the evening.
